Review summary
Most cruiselines permit one bottle of wine per person to be brought on board free of charge. Apparently Norwegian no longer permits this without a fee. Based on the size of the confiscation line we were not the only ones to realize this. Also, our cabin steward was the worst we have ever had in our extensive cruise history. The cruise was great as was the food and most of the ships crew. Norwegian has stopped the lobster night unless you pay for one of the upscale restaurants. This is blasphemy in our books, what no lobster??? Just more of the nickel and dime stuff that seems to be creeping into the cruise scene. $3.00 for a bottle of water I can get at Costco for 10 cents is excessive in my books.

Ship tip
Buffet was great but enjoyed the Summer Palace the best. Not one for standing in lines to touch utensils that have been handles by others.

Thanks for posting your review. Glad that you enjoyed the food. Too bad about no more lobster unless you pay for it. That was one dish that I always want on a cruise since I don't have it often at home. It is a splurge for me. I hope that next time you get a good cabin steward., Most of them are excellent. I always bring my own water bottle with me. It pays to check the cruise line's Website before bring wine on board. If the policy changes, it will be up there.
