Review summary

The new ship was overall very nice. I loved the double loungers by the pool and the cozy seating areas. The Flex caribbean band was so good. The pool area was too small and the Tahitian theme seemed cheap and tacky. We did always find a lounger on the main floor though by waiting till 2 or so. Overall the food was awsome with lots of variety. The main dining room started to get real chinsey on the seafood and vegatables. One shrimp??!!! The buffet was very popular with tons of choices and very good food. The cakes and brownies were tasteless- no real chocolate even on the chocalate buffet. Watch out for the ketchup on the great outdoors cafe sitting in the sun-almost put some bad rancid ketchup on my hotdog. Don't know why they leave it out in the heat. Also had some trouble clearing the tables in that area for some reason. The rest of the ship was spotless. The shows were very good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Did'nt like having to make a reservation each day. I would have preferred less restaurants and more pool and outside areas

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very pleasant and eager to serve

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Too broken up . Pool area too small. Liked that the rooms were on the middle floors and amenities above and below. Spa area was awesome-well worth the extra $15 a day

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Inside stateroom very nice but a little smaller than on other ships.Bathroom was nice.Don't bring to much luggage. No where to store it

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Took a boat out to the BAths. Awesome but the ride out is rough. You snorkel slowly along the rocks to the beach so it is not a tough swim unless swimming is hard for you. vEry beatiful

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Turner beach and the rainforest were well worth it. Dickenson beach is very crowded

Roseau, Dominica

5 out of 5
The river tubing was beautiful and a lot of fun. There are tons of strong guys in the water to assist but it is possible to tip over and go under. Not for small kids or poor swimmers.Trafalgar falls are gorgeous but the steep winding narrow rode up is treacherous

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Crane beach, Orchid city, bathsheba were beautiful. Lots to see. We rented a car but note that there are no street signs so be prepared to stop and ask alot in the rural areas. Also drive on the left.

Castries, St. Lucia

We did the catamaran to the Pitons -very nice but we couldn't see much of the island

Pros: The ports were awesome

Cons: Freestyle dining was a pain
