Review summary

I recommend the Panama Canal 15-day cruise. They had good ports. The itinerary was great because there was a sea day between port days. Made it more relaxing and enjoyable. Cheers!!

Embarkation

Slooooooow…..longer than expected. It was raining very hard and we were moved from a tent to indoors which was very nice. Just took a bit longer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food. Specialty dining was amazing. We tried LaCucina, Cagneys and Le Bistro. The main dining room was impressive, very good food. For the amount of meals that have to be created, they did a great job. The “Local“ was always good. The buffet had good food as long as you get passed some nasty people getting their food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Water slide with the raft, virtual reality, gym. They were all good. The one water slide, without the raft, we were not allowed to go on because I had a draw string and and eyelet on my swimwear. They said I go go in my under ware, but didn’t.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
A couple of the comedians were very funny. Footloose and Elements were good - entertaining.

Children's Programs

Didn’t use the service.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The waiters/waitresses were always friendly, professional and prompt. I’d saw on 2 occasions, the service lacked a little. I’m thinking they were overwhelmed and too busy. However; overall, very good job!!!! Our room steward, Jose, was simply awesome. Probably the best one so far out of about 13-15 cruises. Siva and Inyomen, the bar waiters at H20 Spice, did A great job. Always courteous and friendly. Seemed like they were always there and working their butts off.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We were always complementing how clean the shop looked.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was typical, felt a little small, but comfortable. Very clean room!!!! When we got there, we wiped the room down with wipes and expected to get a lot of nastiness and it was clean. Jose did a great job.

Ship tip

Deck 8 - outside. You’ll figure it out.

Walked around a little and went back to the ship. Been there - done that.

Acapulco, Mexico

Released the turtles in the ocean. It was cool. EXCEPT, part of the excursion was shopping. We were forced to go to a jewelry store and that was it, then back to the boat. The guide said we weren’t allowed to go any where else.

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Cartegena was nice to see. The architecture was beautiful and there was a good vibe there.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Snappers - the fish tacos were delicious! They’re in the port area. A bit pricy for two fish tacos and a .25 cent bag of chips = $23, but they were. good.

Miami, Florida

Disembarked.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation wasn’t toooooo bad. We carried our luggage off so we wouldn’t have to search for it later. Pretty typical disembarkation.
