Review summary

We took an excursion in each port. Some were as long as 7 hours. On this cruise, you have 6 port days in a row. For older people you might consider some of the shorter duration excursions.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy on and well organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the dining facilities we used were good. With Norwegians dining package amenity and our latitudes rewards, we had a number of specialty restaurants we used. If you are planning a cruise, try to make reservations in advance for specialty restaurants as once on board, people were having to pick late night times.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
As we are older in our 70's we didn't climb any rock walls or race any cars. As it was the fall, the outdoors was a little brisk.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We have cruised a number of times on Norwegian, but this was our first cruise since Covid shut down the industry. We expected more on the entertainment in the theatre. The two major shows, Footloose and Elements were great. The Beatles band was also good but repeated three times with different themes and other acts were not as good as we expected. Talking to people, the covid issue is still a big concern on the ships and effecting booking other talent.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service was great and in speaking to crew members all were happy to be back to work.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was carrying about 3000 so it was not full. As a result, there was plenty of room without crowding. The waterfront however was not used much as the weather eventhough mild and warmer than usual still precluded being outside while cruising.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was good, clean comfortable. The only negative was we didn't use the balcony as much as we would have due to the temperature but that is to be expected that time of year for a Canada cruise.
