Review summary

My main problem was with the upgrade program, which norwegian messed up majorly. Instead charging my credit 2,400 for the upgrade, they tried to charge my credit card for 28,000.00 which cause my credit card company to reject the payment and ncl cancelled my whole reservation including my whole cruise extras. the happened 3 days before I left for the ship in NYC.

The upgrades are not free. You usually bid on them and it's usually two times the price so for each of you that are staying in the cabin you will be charged two times. So for instance if you initially booked an ocean view and now our booking a balcony as your upgrade if you win you will be charged the extra price. And there is no guarantee on where your new cabin will be. You may be underneath the pool deck, underneath a restaurant, underneath somewhere in wheezy.
