While we had a great time and enjoyed most of our cruise (I think your cruise is what you make it) I think we would go with Royal Caribbean next time. We just like the service we receive from them better. But we also like having the same waiter every time, so if you like the freestyle dining Norwegian might be for you.

We arrived at 11:00 for 12:00 boarding time. Finally boarded at 2:00. People were still leaving ths ship at 11:30 from prior cruise.

We tried Savor, Taste, and the Manhattan. After two horrible experiences in Taste and Savor, of waiting over 2 hours we complained and then went to the Manhattan. We were served by Alfredo and his helper Erick. Were it not for these two I think our entire cruise would have been a 1 star. We requested them each night after and they were great! We filled out hero cards and gave compliments to supervisor as well as extra tips to both.

I have to give this a 5 star. I'm not crazy about French food but my wife loved it. I got the chicken it was good. Waiter was out of this world attentive. If you like French food go here.

Entertainment was great, the Beatles tribute band was amazing, games were fun, slides were fun but I couldn't get my wedding ring off to do the drop one. Didn't do the go carts.

Footloose was great! Elements sounded cool but the guy in front of me was very tall, no big deal I'll just look around his head, except EVERY 2 SECONDS he would move his head from one side to the other. I finally took a nap. Lol. If you're tall please hold your head still! Lol

Ship steward was great, asked once for ice and got it every day after. He was like a ninja, we would leave for half an hour and the room was made up.
Again, in the Manhattan ask for Alfredo as your server, you will not regret it!

We got an inside cabin as we don't spend much time in there. It suited us fine.
Nice place, beautiful animal sanctuary just off the ship, but we went to the old town and couldn't move without someone in our face trying to sell something. That drives me nuts, but I'd you don't mind it is a nice place.
Glad you did enjoy and you are correct, a cruise is what you make of it. We prefer assigned seating at dinner also. RCCL is for the most part I would say so far our favorite. We have not cruised on Norwegian.
