Review summary

Overall a nice cruise. Ran out of patience with the cabin steward, and the cabin was not configured in a way to maximize the small space. I really enjoyed The Vibe deck, would recommend. The food in the main dining rooms was very good. The buffet didn’t have much variety.

Service and Staff

The staff in the Vibe deck were incredible but the cabin steward was awful! Didn’t exchange water glasses, left towels on the floor, we could not get ahold of him during the day.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was a veranda room but we found it to be more cramped then an inside room. The beds we so close to the TV cabinet it was hard to get by, I felt bad for the room service staff that delivered our breakfast.

Ship tip

I understand the Joy is the only ship in the fleet that does not have a Thermal Suite. There is more for kids to do like a water tube, arcade, and laser tag ( at an extra cost) I highly recommend the Vibe deck for privacy and attentive staff. Well worth the cost of $209 for the week. We made some friends there since the same people were there every day.

My room steward was awesome but it constantly said n the tv that you could also call the central housekeeping dept if you needed anything. I also tip both on arrival and before departure. They work very hard and very long hours.
