Wonderful cruise ! Ship and Alaska were amazing. Add this to your bucket list.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Couldn’t have gone better. Very fast. Went about 2 pm, right after we flew in to Seattle.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were top notch, main dining rooms really good but the buffet was just ok. I wouldn’t have starved but the food was never warm and over cooked. Ate mostly in the main dining rooms.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I didn’t use any of the facilities but the go karts and laser tag looked like a lot of fun. The arcade was big, the water slides were great but too cold for the adults to use but the kids didn’t mind. Pools were empty most of the time but hot tubs full.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The 2 shows that they had were terrific but they didn’t perform every night so were packed when they performed. Book the shows before you board as once on board , can’t get a reservation and you have to do stand by and hope for the best.
Children's Programs
Not with children this time
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Service was very good but the staff weren’t overly friendly.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very big and clean ship. We had an aft room and everything was a long walk away.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Very nice sized room, comfortable beds and pillows and a nice sized bathroom with a bigger then normal shower. Kept very clean.
Ship tip
Don’t book an aft room if you have any walking issues.
No excursion here, walked around, did some shopping. Go to Creek Street. Very cute, shops are on stilts overlooking a creek . If its the right time, you’ll see salmon swimming upstream.
Cute little town. Did an 8 hr White Pass train/bus excursion up into the Yukon, Canada. Train up, bus back. It was a narrated train trip about the Gold Rush era. Very interesting and the scenery was spectacular.
We were first off as we did the port valet service along with about 1000 other people so it was a little slow getting off. Add extra time if you’re heading to the airport. Also, airport was crazy busy and getting through security was nuts! Plan extra time for that too.
