Review summary

Loved this cruise. If you are flying make sure that you do not have a early morning flight out of SEA as several ships dock at the same time so the airport is nuts. It took us 45 min to get to the TSA scanning area. The line went on for ever.

Was upgraded to 14748 cabin type CC. It is the size of a luxury hotel room. Lots of space to store things. very clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Folks wore jeans in the main dining rooms for dinner so you do not need to dress up if you do not want to.

We did bit do a excursion at this port. This is the best one to do shopping at. We walked to Creek street. it is about 10 min from the main shopping area. Interesting area to walk through and if you are there during salmon run season there is a section of the river you can watch the run

Juneau, Alaska

Did the Glacier Gardens and Mendenhall Glacier. Loved it. Got to see a bear and cubs up close at the Mendenhall glacier.

Did the bus tour to the Yukon. It was nice and relaxing. Loved the mountains. May is a good time to do this as you still see the snow on the tops of the mountains. later months all the snow is gone.

Victoria, British Columbia

Did the highlights of Victoria and the Craigdarroch Castle. The house has a interesting history. Wish we had a little more time to move through the house.

Process was smooth. There was so many people trying to get off between 7am and 8am that they had us in long rows to get off. We chose the "Port Vale" package they offered on the ship and that was great. They take your cases off the ship all the way to your plane so you do not need to try and book in at the airport as they book your boarding pass on board as well. Once you get to the airport you just need to get into the line to go through TSA.

Thank you so much for your reply. My husband was wondering if the perk was still there. It will be nice to be able to get away for quiet meals for breakfast and lunch there if the rest of the ship becomes to hectic for us. We were also told when we booked our August 17th cruise that the concierge suites also were not charged the $7.95 room service fee for meals outside the breakfast hours but have seen conflicting statements on NCL's website. Did you experience that? My husband has some mobility issues and may want to have dinners on our balcony some nights. Your pictures were beautiful - thank you for sharing! We are so looking forward to our cruise!

Yes I did use the breakfast and lunch. It was at La Cucina. We got a letter on board that welcomed us and told us were our private dining will be as well as what times it is open for each day.

Did you utilize the private dining options for breakfast and lunch since you were upgraded to a Concierge class cabin which comes with this perk? If so, is the private dining at Cagneys or La Cucina and do you happen to remember what was on the menu?
