Loved everything about this cruise. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, good variety of food, wonderful shows and the passing landscape and stops the ship had were absolutely amazing.

Great for people who love bingo!!  The food was great for those who had the free style dining package.  Internet was slow.  People who worked on the ship were very nice.

We really enjoyed this cruise.  The entertainment on the ship could have been a bit better, but you couldn't beat the outdoor scenery, it was well worth it!

I'm not a fan of Norwegian's dining plan because you really have no set dining time to eat, but everything else was great!  The Jewel is an older ship, but maintained very well.  (My kids noticed the built in ashtrays in the bathrooms and asked me why they were there. lol)  It was very clean and the ship's entire staff was very helpful and nice to work with.  We booked excursions directly through Norwegian which all turned out to be great!  (Ketchikan - Rainforest Sanctuary & LumberJack Show, Juneau - Sled Dog Discovery and Mushers Camp, Skagway - Triple Adventure Bike, Hike, & Float, and Victoria BC - Ocean Wildlife & Orca Exploration)  This is our 5th family cruise.  We have cruised the caribbean as well as the mediterranean.  The scenery was beautiful in Alaska and reminded us all of our mediterranean cruises.

I  apologize for not completing this survey much sooner.....I have been on a couple of short vacations since my return from this Alaskan cruise.

We loved Alaska and plan on returning someday.   However, it will never be on a ship that is rated less than four stars.  If you pay a four star price for a vacation then you should be provided with  top rated services.

My stay in Seattle, where we cruised out of (we had visited Seattle many years ago) was very nice.  We stayed at the Doubletree Seaport, which was a  perfect location for our travel. 

On my own I secured an affordable mode of transportation to and from the port.  Check-in and disembarking with Norwegian was perfect.  Norwegian has it right, and all other cruise lines should use their operating procedures for efficiently moving people on and off of a ship.

Then reality sets in:

First of all.....the only reason I went against my better judgement and selected a three star ship is because everyone assured me that this was Norwegian and that all of their ships were wonderful.  Well, nothing could be further from the truth. 

We all had to wait on the pool deck or in the one open dinning room, with limited food choices, until it was time to sail.  We were subjected to cold hard buns for the hamburgers and hot dogs (I asked that my bun be placed on the grill before eating), and condiments that were exposed to the sun to long.  Also, the food selection area was messy (even at the buffets), the food tasted just like it looked (processed) and they ran out of drinks several times....and was slow to refill the canisters.  Most of the free dining  that was included with our travel package (even in the restaurants) looked good but had absolutely NO taste.  Definitely not worth asking for seconds. 

I am a people person and I found that most of the ships sailing crew was just cordial....not really friendly.

I have been on many cruises i.e. RC's "The Allure", Celebrity, Carnival just to name a few, and for the money I paid  on this cruise (I had the a room with a balcony) the value was not there at all.  This ship could never compare to any of my previous cruises.

This takes me to our cabin.  The ship, as well as my room was very clean.  The entire ship is dated (except for the Casino).  My room was much to small for the money, the ceiling  of the balcony needed to be washed down, the flooring on the balcony was either missing or peeling and needed to be replaced,  the glass guard rail needed to be cleaned, the cob webs remove and  balcony area needed to be painted.  The two little chairs on the balcony look as though they had come from someone's backyard.  Most of all, they should invested in standard toilet seats as oppose to those European seats that everyone detests.

The biggest disappointment was the time we had to tour each of the the Alaskan towns.  Although, we loved Victoria, Canada, that time their could have been spent in the other three Alaskan towns.  We paid to see and tour Alaska!!

I truly felt that  we  were treated like cattle with money.  That the cruise line would assume that we would eat anything and like it or pay any price and be satisfied with the accommodations, is appalling!!!!

Shame on for not having scouts to travel the tours that they sell before advertising them.  I guess it is all about money.....and my opinion really does not matter because that cruise  "sold out" every seven days....and that is really all that is important.

I like this cruise. There are a lot of fun in the cruise. We played Dancing, swimming, Pinpang. We Played card with our friends. The kids liked their activities.

Nowegian Jewel was a very nice ship. The crew was  very friendly and courteous. The walk off at the end  was very stress free. I would l highly recommend it if you do not have much luggage. Our flight was boarding at 1130 am and we were there in plenty of time due to the stress free walk off. 

My husband and I just got home from our 7 day Alaskan cruise and we couldn't be more satisfied. Our favorite part was the STAFF! They went above and beyond to take care of us. The quality of shows and entertainment was also one of our favorite parts. Food was average buffet style and quality. We would go on this cruise over and over!  

We enjoyed the excursions (gold mining, rock climbing, nature walk), and the weather was really good. The food was ok on the cruise ship. They don't serve lobster or crab legs, which was disappointing. Guess they are cutting costs. Staff was really nice.

I love the free style on the ship, when I´m on vacation I don´t want anyone to tell me when to eat or what to do

We had an absolute blast! best children's camp ever! my daughter was eager to go everyday. Great views, good food, minimal lines. They had some great entertainment for the adults, not as much as I expected.  But I didn't go for the ship, I went for the excursions!

cruise was very good. Only problem was that we booked an obstructed oceanview room and the windows were colored white. It was like being in an inside cabin with fake windows painted on the wall.We coul not be moved because they said the ship was soldout.

Our cabin steward Mia was excellent and MDR service was great.

The tour to  sawyer was a 10+

The Jewel is a beautiful ship with wonderful service, The entertainment was very good and the food marvelous. Land excursions were great, in Skagway we went up in Canada to the Yukon the views were marvelous and our driver/guide was very funny and entertaining. I would recommend the cruise to anyone. After traveling with other cruise lines Norwegian outshines all others.

I had an excellent experience with 7 days Norwegian Jewel Alaskan Cruise. I would recommend it with friends.  Freestyle Dining is a plus, and Fine Dining is always available. Friendly crews and casual atmosphere made it easy to mingle around and make new acquaintances.

Everyone was so friendly everywhere on the  ship. Very helpful with anything i needed. Entertainment was grear. Loved noodles the comedian. Havent laughed so much in a long time. The ship was very clean. Have sailed with ncl lots, and will go again.

Good Trip, Ship is good,food is eatable, but not excellent. For my experience over priced, Seattle aireport is awful. Customer service very bad, waiting line are LONG

This was a fabulous trip. I didn't really want to go to Alaska but my husband did. I am so glad we went. It exceeded my expectations. It is so beautiful. Everyone should see it in their lifetime. We had wonderful weather. There were actually more families on the ship then I was expecting. The night entertainment was excellent. I love getting dressed up but not to many people got dressed up on this cruise. It was more casual dress. The ship was beautiful. The food was good but I really wanted Mexican food and they did not serve it on the ship so we found a little restaurant in Skagway.  

This was our first cruise on the Norwegian Cruise lines and will not be the last, we were impressed from the moment we got off the plane in Seattle airport and was greeted by the ground transportation. and through customs to the ship , things were so well organized and well planned. We would like to thank all of the staff and hard workers on the Jewel ship for all of their hard work and detection to making our trip the most enjoyable and fun trip we have taken. I would like to thank my cabin stewards for their hard work,  the food service workers and staff for all of the great food they served while on the trip,  we ate at as many as we could and loved everyone of them. The entertainment was great every night and a different great show. I want to thank  Captain Harstrom and his great staff for all of their hard work to insure we all had a great time. I also wish to thank Hillary for her hard work to insure we got the best package for our money, Job well done. Thank you all for making my wife and I 50th anniversary so special...

I had a wonderful time with my entire family on this cruise.  I had a junior suite and it was well maintained.  My personal staff, Jason was great, very attentive and he catered to all of our needs.  The food was great as well and the cruise ship was very clean.  I will highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on our cruise.  However, I wish we had been able to spend an overnight somewhere, like Juneau vs. going to Victoria, BC.  We booked an excursion in Juneau and by the time we finished with it, it was pretty much time to get back on the boat.  Victoria is a beautiful city but this is an Alaskan cruise and the stops we made in Alaska were amazing beautiful!!  I wanted more time in one of their cities, not in B.C.
