We had the unfortunate experience of an entire day/night in rough and rolling seas.  But other than that, the captain, crew and the discounted fare rated 5 stars.  The staff behind the customer service, at the casino, at the duty free shops, and behind every single shop or restaurant we happened upon gave their 100% in service and genuine friendliness.  Our cabin steward "Tut Tut" took the top award, often going beyond to respond to our arcane requests.  We took advantage of the terrific options of dining selections, finding ourselves dressing up for a  beautiful dining experience or dressing down and eating at the galley.  Our travel agent Jim Niederriter handled all the preliminary work with professionalism and expertise.  I highly recommend contacting Jim if you want to totally enjoy your vacation from start to finish.

Excellent entertainment with aerialists; good selection of foods; excursions expensive for what they offered; easy check-in; wrong entries on final bill made check-out extra slow; luggage was lost, then found again after filing lost report.

BrendaEverything was absolutely perfect from the booking of the cruise to the final disembarkment. The staff on the ship was awesome very helpful and always upbeat and happy to see you! The room was very clean and our steward was amazing!

Our daughter and son-in-law sent us on this trip for our anniversary! It was amazing! My husband is disabled and the staff and everyone around was more than gracious to us and was more than helpful at ALL times! Thank you! It was gorgeous! Everyone should put this trip on their bucket list!

We were promised in writing for an ocenview cabin and we got totally obstructed view cabin. We are upset and disappointed. This is our fourth Norvegian cruise.

Great experience, would tell people to take this cruise. Love Norwegian and the free style!!!! Have been on norwegian 5 other times and hate to cruise on any other ship. The unlimited drink package is not really unlimited, we found out that we had to pay for specialty coffee, and drinks that coast over 11.00 dollars you had to pay for, which is not mentioned when you get the package.

Highly recommend this cruise. Food is wonderful.....staff very friendly...DO NOT take an Alaskan cruise without a balcony room ! Saw so many great things from our balcony; mountains, glaciers, whales.....just awesome!

The scenery on this cruise was beautiful. The staff seemed to be aware of what we were interested in seeing on this cruise. Especially when we visited the glacier. Our cabin steward was very helpful and was always ready to make our stay comfortable. He kept our cabin clean and provided things in a timely fashion.

NCL Jewel was fantastic.  The entertainment was the best compared to other lines.  We received the Ultimate Dining Package as a upgrade.  There were 5 specialty restaurants.  Cagney's and La Bistro were the best.  NCL does sell this package and its well worth it.

The only minor negative is that the ship stayed to long in Skaway and not long enough in Victoria.

I recommend that you purchase off shore excursions through Cruise Brothers.  They offer the same tours and a much reduced rate.

This was our first cruise and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the ship. Also all of the staff were very professional and personable. We don't have one single complaint about the whole experience!

Alaska was beautiful. The ship itself was lovely. My review of the customer service however, is a big 0. Excursion blushes late and not working properly, no refund for the rush through the gardens because of late buses. Then no explanation of fund holds so they'll charge your card without telling you about it.

We enjoyed the cruise very much. The ship is clean, crew members very friendly and helpful, food was much better than what we expected, the shows were entertaining and all the excursions were well organized. Disembarking and re-boarding were smooth.  The captain did a wonderful job of 360 degree turn at the Sawyer glacier and the views were spectacular.  

Quality of food & entertainment and overall experience was very poor.  The onboard activities were limited and very commercialized, more sales activities then entertainment activities.

Plan on adding $1,000 per person to the cost of your cruise for shore excursions. When you reach Victoria, you have to pay for transportation from the dock into the city which cost $12 round trip. The line for the bus was very long.

Make sure you plan them in advance and read the reviews, it's nearly impossible to do it on board, the office is only open a few hours a day. If you decide at the last minute, the system for booking is low tech and no one is available to help you. The woman in charge of our excursion desk was very curt and rude.

The ship was awesome, the crew was outstanding, the restaurant selection and daily meal specials were great, and the excursions at each stop created amazing memories!  We will be taking this same cruise again!

A couple of things my wife would have liked would be more healthy (spa type) dining options and perhaps a juice bar and frozen yogurt station.

Even with drink package, EVERY person must show room card, enter tip amount, total, sign, and date for EVERY drink. Huge inconvenience. Severs and customers waste much time here.

Seattle attaches a drink tax (not included in drink package) for every drink will at port for a good distance away from their port.

Very crowded, be prepared to be bumped and pushed in buffet and pool area's.

High costs. Your credit card will be hit for $300.00 as soon as you get on the boat. Some restaurants will still cost you 20 to 30 dollars more because of better food, service, and atmosphere. Atmosphere is a little better, food about the same, service is much slower. Don't waste your money.

The prices for excursions and transportation right at the dock exit when getting off the boat is legalized theft. Walk to the local transportation and unaffiliated Norwegian vendors. you will save hundreds. To go from the boat to the Alaskan brewery would have been $20.00 out and &20.00 back per person ($40.00 total) through Norwegian vendors, we did it for $5.00 per person round trip.

On a good note, getting on and off the boat was very easy and fast for the thousands of people on board.

We had a wonderful time. The ship is beautiful. The staff is great. There were so many fun things going on all the time. Loved the excursions. We got off in Ketchikan for a crab fest, it was fantastic. We got off in Juneau for the salmon hatcheries and salmon fest, t was great. Had wonderful trip on the White Pass railroad in Skagway, it shouldn't be missed.

The Entertainment was not good . Food was fair, overall fair cruise but will cruise with different cruise line next time. Not enough to do especially on bad weather days. Our 2 teens were bored. The Arcade should be complimentary.

This was a wonderful trip for those of us relatively new to cruising.  The weather cooperated as well, which, of course, is a variable out of anyone's control.  The relaxed Norwegian Cruise Lines approach to dining and activities was perfectly suited to our needs.  The on shore NCL experiences were as advertised and comparable in price to those offered by others.
