We love cruising and this was one of our best. We have so many amazing memories.

We boarded in Vancouver.. we had an 11 am check in time but we went at 10am to drop our bags and they planned to walk the port area. They just ushered us in and we were on the ship within minutes

Food and Dining

The food was excellent except for our dinner at Cagney's. We always eat at Cagney's when they are available. Service was poor. It took 45 minutes before we received our drinks. Another 45 minutes before we received our apps. Another 45 minutes before we received our entrees. Our total means we over 3 hours which caused us to miss the stage show. Several ordered the surf and turf and all complained the lobster was dry and no taste. My steak was ordered medium but I received well down. At the end of the meals, we asked for the manger. He gave us he run around and said we should have sent the meals back. As slow as service was, we would have been there for breakfast.
The next nite, some from our group order the Cagney's option from the Tsar Place for a charge. They order the double lobster tail and all said they had no taste. We again called a manger at the end of our meal to mention the lobster and he said he cannot refund the charge because the waiter already took the plates. So disappointed. We have never had an experience like this on NCL before

They advertise they have a Maltings and Whiskey bar, a Martini bar and a wine and champagne bar. In reality they are the same bar. The Mojito bar (our fav) is inside the Moderna restaurant. The ship is spotless.

It was our first time on a smaller ship. The rooms was comfortable but small. There was about 18 inches between the foot of the bed and the wall. The bathroom was really tiny. There was literally 12 inches between the front of the toilet and the wall. The sink only had a few inches of counter space on either side of the bowl. The shower was surprisingly large.
We didn't do any excursions but just walked the town. The salmon were running in the creek. Amazing watching them jump the falls or fish ladder. Then to see tens of thousands in the natural hatchery area.
We did the Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching tour. The glacier is amazing and standing next to nugget falls is breathtaking. On the whale tour, we saw so many whales breaching and tail slapping.
In Skagway you have to take the white pass train. The views are amazing. We have a helicopter tour to the glacier but was cancelled because of high winds and low cloud cover later in the day. With the extra time we walked the town ( small, only 6 blocks long) but we had lunch at the red Onion bar. What a unique history it has
Seward is small and some of the town was closed already for the season. We visited the Alaska Sea Life Center. If was interesting. That is where we got on the bus for our 5 day land package
