Review summary

Grueling getting there and back, but other than that (and the on-board entertainment), we had a wonderful time.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
We did not realize that it would take almost 2 hours by bus from Anchorage to the port (which was a tent/warehouse).

Food and Dining

As always, NCL dining experiences are outstanding.

Entertainment

I don't know if better shows weren't booked because the ship wasn't very full (which was nice!) and therefore there wasn't the money to hire them, or if the fault was in the bookings themselves, but this 7-night trip was by far the worst of the 17 cruises I've been on in regards to entertainment. There were no singer/dancer productions, soloists singing to tracks and hitting bad notes making me cringe, and so-so magicians and comedians. It's the first time in 82 nights on a cruise ship that I have opted out of several of the evening shows. Shout out to Nathaniel Reed, however. Great pianist lounge act.
