Review summary

The cruise was definitely a Bucket List experience.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Maybe we were rerouted because it was Canada Day but there was a lot more walking for those of us who are handicapped.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We mainly utilized the main dining rooms which were excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the on board park ranger presentation at Glacier Bay National Park.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The NCL cast was very versatile.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very helpful when I used the buffet. Which was great since I am handicapped.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Since this was my third time with this ship's design, I had no problems knowing how to get where I needed to be.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was perfect for me.

Ship tip

Arrive early so that you can enjoy a relaxing meal while you wait for your cabin to be ready.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
I love Vancouver (This was my fourth time there.). But passengers should be warned about the crowds at Canada Place on Canada Day.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
No excursion that day.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
It was difficult to get excursion boat because the tide was out but the excursion was exciting and informative.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
The whale watching was great. The driver to and from the whale watching boat did a interesting narration about Juneau and was very helpful in securing wheelchair for me. His name was pronounced like Philemon from the bible.

Skagway, Alaska

2 out of 5
The train to White Pass broke down and the company did not have enough motive power to replace the engine. We were not charged for this excursion but I really looked forward to this excursion. Maybe next time.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Glacier Bay and Hubbard Bay were the unexpected highlights of the cruise. The National Park Rangers were very passionate about the need to preserve these natural wonders. Their embarkation and debarkation process was exciting.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
See the comments above. I do want add my appreciation for the crew's navigational skills in getting us so close to the glacier faces. The experience of viewing the calving of the glaciers could not have been better.

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

5 out of 5
We booked our own train passage because we wanted more time in Seward.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Everything went very smoothly.
