Review summary

Couldn’t rate ports in New Zealand as for us this was a cruise experience not a destination experience. We will fly to NZ and drive to experience the country. The cruise was to celebrate my husband’s retirement and relax before the busy Christmas period, which we achieved. Thanks Norwegian Cruise Line.

Didn’t eat in buffet however experiences in main dining rooms and O’Shegeans were all wonderful. We dined in 4 of the 5 specialty restaurants and our only disappointment was we both had Sword Fish in Le Bistro and found it overcooked and dry for our tastes.

Onboard Activities

As a late riser my husband would have appreciated some of the early morning organised activities being repeated later in the day. He truly appreciated the EPL games being shown live in the room and O’Shegeans

We liked the layout of the ship. The common areas were clean and pleasing (the ship had recently been refurbished). There was an outbreak of illness however we believe this was possibly due to some guests sharing large bowls of food and even eating utensils in the buffet (seeing this this practice stopped us from eating in the buffet). The officers and staff couldn’t have done any more to contain the illness other than perhaps discouraging this practice of sharing.

Good size for 2 people, comfortable, happy with bathroom and plenty of storage space. Close to lifts but no noise. Would choose again.
