Review summary
The Norwegian Jewel is a beautiful ship with all the amenities you would expect. Our sailing was excellent and very smooth with the exception of a few rough seas on day 6 of the cruise. The dining was very good with a nice variety of menu items in the main dining rooms. The specialty restaurants are advertised aggressively by the ship but we honestly did not feel they were worth the value. Cagney's was a disappointment as our steaks were tough and the service very slow. The ports were very good and the shore excursions we chose to be excellent. Ketchikan was our favorite city and had a great time on the duck ride! The scenery in Skagway on the White Pass Rail Train was just gorgeous! We would definitely recommend this excursion! We took the Mendenhall Glacier tour in Juneau and it was quite spectacular but not our favorite excursion. Enjoyed the Sawyer Glacier more, which we saw from our ship. We took the duck ride in Victoria, BC and it was great! Very informative and gave us a chance to see the city. Overall, this cruise was a very nice experience and we had a great time!Ship experiences
