Bring your own distilled water. Buy a case of water asap or drink fountain water. Check for complimentary restaurants for "different" and really good food. Staff is very friendly. Get receipt or reservation confirmations from guest service or it may not happen!
Check reviews for excursions. AND "Bartering" on THEIR islands doesn't exist.

Room steward, bar keeps ect. were great! Guest service personnel lacking training. 6 visits to get 3 issues worked out. 2 times for each. 2x for getting distilled water, 2x for a case of drinking water and 2x for one restaurant reservation.

Ship tip
check for complimentary restaurants for better tasting food (you should tip). bring your own distilled water- takes 2 days to get it. One Qt should do it. Go strait to Starbucks to order a case of water $29.95 for 12 ltrs. ( thats plenty for 2) or your other options are drink fountain water or pay $8 per bottle! THE DRINK PACKAGES ARE ONLY FOR ALCOHOL - NOTHING ELSE.
very small. Ship owned. Subject to their exuberant prices. Bypass the ATV tour! Horrible roads and travel too fast for most. So focused on the road that you couldn't see anything for the thick Mangroves lining the road if you tried. ATV tour is a " I want the experience of driving an ATV- is basically what it is! Waste of money. The beach they stop at is very small - 20' from the road. After, they take you to another beach - very nice.
"OPEN BAR" is part of the tour. It serves very cheap - horrible tasting alcohol!! I took a drink and left it on the bar! Vodka was like kerosene! Their shops ( ship owned) were more expensive than in the states!

I may be wrong but I don’t think NCL own Coxen Hole or Costa Maya? And Harvest Caye all of the shops and restaurants are run by locals not NCL. Free at Sea drinks package includes alcohol and soda, but yes you’re right about bottled water being an extra (inflated) price. You can however order a water package before your cruise which works out cheaper than buying onboard. Glad you enjoyed your cruise!
