Overall, this cruise gets a grade of C- from me. I have been on other Norwegian cruises which were much better. The staff seemed new and inexperienced. The left hand did not seem to know what the right hand is doing. I would not recommend it.

Suspect having a great show for 21 nights is difficult. Most of the shows were just OK, however, the final show was spectacular.

Did not travel with children and did not visit the children activities areas.

The cabin steward was EXCELLENT. Waiters in the specialty restaurants were very good, but wait staff in the main dining room were poor. Ship personnel at the front desk seemed uninformed and would contradict one another. My ship card would not open the door of my cabin. I had to return to the desk 3 times; finally raising my voice and being assertive to get front desk staff to offer another plan that finally got my ship card and cabin door working.

Being mid-ship was excellent. We did not have to walk far for the theater, food, or excursions. The king bed was turned into 2 single beds for my roommate and I. Mattress and bedding was comfortable. Had good space in the bathroom. The balcony was small but adequate for 2 chairs and small table.
Ship tip
Complain until the staff make the situation right. You shouldn't have too, but there is no alternative.
Did the EXCLUSIVE tour in Athens offered by Norwegian. Save your money!! The guide was horrible. She would leave us; walked as if she was going to put out a fire; spoke English but difficult to understand; and we had to find the bus on our own to return to the ship.
The Norwegian sponsored guide to Ephesus was outstanding!! He moved amongst the group offering to take pictures; was very knowledgeable, and led the group professionally.
We chose an independent private tour sponsored through Delta SkyMiles. So very glad we did!! These folks were tremendous. An excellent tour and guides.
Have been to Petra before. This excursion did not give you enough time to enjoy Petra. Had time to only see the Treasury, have lunch and go back to the bus.
The port excursion was good. Guide had a fantastic sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. Sadly, a passenger died while aboard ship. Felt terrible for the family. Was interesting watching Omani officials frustrate the ship's officers from our balcony.
Getting off the ship wasfar better than getting on it. However, Norwegian gets low marks for the process used to connect us with the private guide they arranged.
