Had a wonderful time and enjoyed no jet lag once in Europe.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were very good and enjoyable. The dining rooms were very crowded from 5:30 to 6:30 and service ranged from great to being ignored.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are educational talks daily on the various stops along the way, history and sites not too miss that are enjoyable. They have shows/activities every day.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Ranged from exceptional to below average depending on the employee so management would do well to standardize the staff on their job expectations.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Obstructed view, but plenty of light and could see around to shore.

Ship tip

Make sure someone stamps your passport when leaving the cruise. No one stamped ours and we had major trouble leaving Europe.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Not a fan of New York so did not leave hotel.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

3 out of 5
Very pretty landscape, but our locally booked tour through locals was poor.

Lisbon, Portugal

3 out of 5
Was surprised at how small the city was compared to other country capitals. We enjoyed the local pastries very much and shopping.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
Gorgeous city full of blooming trees, flowers and shrubs. We arrived on the day that their Flamingo Fair was happening and loved all the women in Flamingo Dresses all over the city.

Barcelona, Spain

We took the Hop On Hop Off which was a big mistake as the locals had decided to go on strike and the police blocked roads to protect the protesters. Nobody saw much as the buses couldn’t get through. We then just walked along Los Rambles.

Cannes, France

5 out of 5
Beautiful scenery along the coast and the city was busy preparing for Cannes Film Festival. Visited Ville de France which is very interesting.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
We stayed in Livorno and did some shopping and food tasting. We were too tired to go to Florence as we had planned.

Disembarkation

They did not stamp our passports for entry into Europe through Italy. We left by train to Venice and then Germany where officials almost did not let us leave due to failure to stamp passport at arrival in Italy’s.
