Review summary

A very bad experience overall. Poor service, poor to little communication, dated worn ship decor, mediocre food. My family saved and planned for our first cruise and were extremely disappointed in our cruise experience. I will/ would not recommend Norweigan to anyone. I would welcome follow up from Norweigan Cruise Lines but doubt they'll reach out to us. I am angry that our one special family vacation was such a bust. I cried when I first got to the ship and realized that this cruise had been so misleading

I just got off the jade last week and had a great time! you can't go into anything expecting perfection because you will definitely be disappointed. crying before you even got on the ship sounds like you took all the negative energy with you so of course you had a terrible experience. I highly recommend the Jade and NCL to anyone that wants to have a great time. vacation is what you make it, don't let everyone else's negativity ruin it.

We took the Jade and loved it!! Crew was outstanding, food was awesome, entertainment was top notch, the ship was spotless... Need I say more? Maybe you should stay home and get what your expecting there:)

I have been on 5 different NCL ships and found staff on all of them friendly and hard working! Saw bad reviews on some of them and found all to be untrue!!! What do these people expect? We always have a great time and enjoy all the shows and people we met on board. A trip is what you make of it!

i have been on 16 cruises....i didnt go on any hoping that someone else would make my trip.....i love people...and enjoy learning and chatting....renaissance is a decor....and dated... people treat you as you treat them....if you started off crying..they were trying to stay away from you. did you not look at the 200 pics on this site...they show the boat.. with 12 restaurants..you should have been able to find food.... Good luck in life....when you want others to make your day..

If you get on the ship anticipating you're gonna have a GOOD time, you will. If you expect to be disappointed, you will. It's your choice.

That's just stupid. A vacation is what you make it. I'm sorry her and her family had to be pessimistic, but it wasn't necessary.

Sorry that your first cruise was a bust. If you try cruising again I would recommend that you use a good TA and tell them what you expect out of a cruse experience. Different cruise lines target different demographics, you just need to find the one that fits you. NCL is an entry level cruise line.

If you have questions about different lines feel free to ask here in the "Forum" section, a lot of us have been on most of the cruise lines. Also look up reviews for the cruise line and the ship. Some lines are good but have a ship that is not good.

I would send a letter to NCL, but now that they have your money and know your not interested in cruising with them in the future they have no vested interest in making you happy.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Norwegian will not respond to this post. The cruise lines have nothing to do with this site. Send Norwegian your complaints. Maybe then they will respond.
