Review summary

The ship was VERY nice.  The food was mostly good with a great variety. The entertainment was basic to poor.  If you're not traveling with a group you need to make friends quickly as there is little to do but dance or watch poor entertainment.  The crew was mostly helpful, eager to get things right after making a mess of things several times. Meals were cooked to order but often served to the wrong people at the table. Service was either great or they forgot you were sitting at the table. Nothing in-between.  That's why you need friends on this cruise, to entertain yourselves and to laugh things off. Ports are very interesting and with friends a lot of fun.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great variety and alternative ding options.

Onboard Activities

Limited

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not much happening except music on this cruise. Some of the musicians are good, but hampered by the type of music they choose to play. Others... really off.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The crew tries hard but gets things wrong often. But then they go to great lrngths trying to correct things. Except the Maitre d' in the Grand pacific diningroom who refused several times to help, deliberately broke groups up seeting them on opposite sides of the diningroom despite multiple tables being available.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Really nice ship with pools, places for entertainment, good diningrooms, large (ship-wise) bathrooms

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For a inside cabin, this was great. Fully functional with a personal fridge you can have emptied and use yourself. Staff most accommodating. Shower, for a ship, is great!

Ship tip

The Art Auctions are fun. William Farr, art auctioneer, was entertaining. Better than some of the "entertainers". Get your pool chairs early, as they're claimed early and not relinquished.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
DO all the site-seeing, of course, But leave time to just enjoy the city. Beautiful!

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
Walk around the city on the walls! It's a tiring walk, stairs and all, but well worth it!

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Athens is nothing more than a huge, dirty metropolis WITH INCREDIBLE HISTORICAL SITES!!! Of course, see the Accropolis with its temples, view, and a million other tourists.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
The ruins at Ephesus are awsome! Don't miss this opportunity to see them! The town of Kusadasi is like being in Morrocco, expect to be hassled by every vendor or pursued by the storekeepers.

Split, Croatia

3 out of 5
Unfortunatey it was way to hot to really enjoy what seemed to be a nice, smaller town than Dubrovnik.
