Review summary

We have been on a large number of cruises (30+) with many different cruise lines and this was the worst cruise we have ever been on. We are NCL Platinum and have always enjoyed NCL ships, however due to the many negative experiences we had on this cruise, we will not be sailing on NCL again. Pros • Food was above average in both quality and selection • Staff attitude was excellent – other than overworked staff at bars • Ship was kept very clean. Cons • Very limited dance opportunities – none of public areas have any area or space to dance. Only dance area was a small area in dining room with very limited dance opportunities. • The onboard musical entertainment was well below average. Not enjoyable to listen to at all. • Very inadequate staffing in main bars (pool, atrium, etc.) during prime time. Extremely poor staffing levels caused very long wait times and the overworked staff did not enjoy their hard working conditions and it was apparent from their attitudes.

Everyone seems to complain about the bars being under staffed and takes forever to get a drink..... I get that well do you think of how many people are on the ship and want a drink just like you? Get more than one when you go up if you can. I was on this cruise. I had to wait also for drinks it sucks but your on a huge ship maybe try a smaller one. I didn’t have any rude employees.

Seems pretty harsh and drastic if prior cruises were enjoyable. Most ship bars are understaffed. In that situation passengers are usually the problem. Walking up creating more chaos in an already chaotic atmosphere because just like with traffic, no one wants to wait their turn.

Seriously, you slammed NOLA? Yes its old. Its supposed to be. Historical masterpiece that has withstood so much. As far as the ship and cruise, it is what you make of it. I didn't care for the NCL dawn, but I am giving this larger ship a chance. If I find something dirty or someone rude, I will call it out. But I will still enjoy my time away. I question your true cruise history. Be Best.

I agree that the Breakaway class is not a traditional cruise ship with old style dancing rooms. These ships are meant for the Vegas Resort type experience. Not a bad thing just not what you like. Now you know so don't book this class ship again. Simple.

Your reasons for not cruising with that line are ridiculous. You didn’time the shows???? Really???? We don’t go cruising for the shows. You said you’ve cruising over 30 cruises. Why are only 4 listed and no pictures.?
