Review summary

We cruise for the itineraries so the beginning of the cruise was great. If we cruised for the ship board experience we would be very angry. Processing 4000 people around the trip was done in an amateurish way. NCL need to do better.

Embarkation

Smooth and easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Fo me the food was only ok. Over cooked meat, stale breads & hot food temperatures that were not hot, in bother the dining room and the buffet were the norm.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Nearly everything takes place in the atrium, which does not have enough seating & the volume of voices is so high nothing is clearly understood. This style of ship is not good for Northern climates. There are some nice outdoor areas, but again not good for Noethern climates.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The several shows that we were able to get into where very good. The venues are not large enough for the ships population.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is excellent. They are often left dealing with difficult situations that they have no power to resolve.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout and design is not comfortable. The common areas inside the ship do not have enough seating. When there is bad weather & 4000 people trying to be occupied in limited seating and area is very difficult. An again in this situation the volume of all of these people's voices is too much for for the confined space.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin size is good. The bathroom is comfortable. There could be more cupboard or shelving storage.

Ship tip

Keep you expectations within a medium range. This is not a luxury ship.

This port was a surprise for us. We took a taxi around the island it was a great day.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

1 out of 5
Too crowded, we spent too many hours in line coming and going. 2 tenders with a capacity of 400 going back and forth. 4000 people trying to get off the ship, 2 tenders where insufficient to manage the task

Miami, Florida

This was a debacle. The ship blamed the port authority & customs. The Customs & Port Authority were shocked at the lines. Miami gets big ships all of the time. The problem was that we only had a few hours there. Our group was scheduled at 12:15 & all aboard was 1:30? No time to do anything but wait in another line. If the ship had been scheduled In port until the evening everyone would have had a better day. Bad choice made by NCL.

New Orleans, Louisiana

We walked ourselves off the ship. And still they had us walking around like rats in a maze.
