Ship doesn’t have proper space after taking so much for special spaces. Special restaurant and the Heven.

Needs a dock. It took the tender 3 hours to get everyone in. Our time was cut big time because of it.

Miami, Florida

It was a wasted day. By the time you get though customs you don’t have time to do anything. Should have stayed longer at port. 1:30 pm all on board was not to have any fun at this port.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Disembarkation

We were on the same cruise and I agree with most of your points. The European ports were excellent, we took excursions in all of them and each was great. No London or Paris of course. We went to Rouen, Salisbury and Stonehenge and Bath instead. I still can't understsnd the whole Miami debacle. We went through border control at 9 am as we had an excursion, very promptly. Why we had to try to leave the port at 2 pm if it's NCL's home port and we were the only ship in town? Why not give us the whole day in Miami?Something was missing in preparation and arrangements. 4000 people had to board the ship at the same time through a single exit. It was a huge mess. The weather and waves didn't bother us at all. It was our second time on the Getaway, we enjoyed our previous cruise on her much more. And, this was our 3d TA cruise and it can't compare to 2 earlier cruises with Celebrity and Princess. We like NCL and have cruised mostly with them but the quality is not what it used to be, very little excitement.

I was on this ship 1 year ago. We had our best cruise out of the eight we have taken so far. I am sorry you had a bad experience.

The ONLY problem we had on this ship in January 2018, were the "drink runners" at pool area...they never came over to us, even while waiving $10 bills in the air. The last sea day is when they decided they were ready for us...because all their "regulars" weren't around. We told them sorry, your ship has sailed, we needed you 6 days ago. We went and got our drinks like we did all week.

I’ve been on this ship twice and my experience was the complete opposite. I would give it another try if I were you.
