Review summary

The cruise was really fun and laid back. We had the lots of opportunities to try different foods, drinks and locations on the ship. Ports were pretty good and lots of things to do.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Extremely easy and only had minimal waits in the different lines

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining rooms were very clean, inviting and well kept. The food from the main dining room was really good and there wasn't a meal that we didn't like. The service was hit or miss on how quick or slow it was. The buffett was typical and lots of people and lots of decent food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
For the most part we hung out on the adult area on the rear of the ship. It was nice to have no kids running around and be able to just lounge.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were amazing! The Cirque de Dreams and Steam show was awesome. Well worth the extra cost to see the show. Burn the Floor was really good because I enjoy the different dance styles and watching Dancing with the Stars. My father in law was not super excited about the show because he didn't really get the different dance types.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room Steward - Awesome. Performed all duties great! Waiters - tended to take a while for dinner to be served in the different main dining areas. Not sure if we had slow waitstaff or if it was the system overall. Bartenders - Most were really friendly, most made really good drinks. The Svedka Ice Bar experience was awesome. Once again, had to pay an extra fee, but was something that was different and a neat touch to the ship. Shopping Staff - very helpful for my wife, mother and sister in law. Photography Staff - My father and another member of our group are professional photographers for a career and we had plenty of photos between all of them. The staff on the ship was not too pushy and when we politely declined, they moved on and did not keep pushing. That was a nice thing.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always were cleaning and taking care of the areas

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size was typical of an inside stateroom. Not a ton of room, but enough that my wife and I weren't tripping on each other. Had decent amounts of storage space. Bathroom was a good size and made it easy to shower and use things in the bathroom.

Ship tip

Make sure to go to all of the bars and try out the different drink menus. Also you can get breakfast in the main dining rooms and avoid the mass volume of people at the buffet.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Was decent for the drop off of people. The workers assisted up to unload our groups luggage and got it to the ship all good.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Did the Zuperman zip line extreme excursion. The only negative was the road construction on the way to the location. It was put on our ticket to the excursion that we may encounter delays because of the construction. They made us aware of this ahead of time and did the best they could do.

Harvest Caye, Belize

Very clean. Well organized. Had electric carts to take my pregnant wife and I along the pier back to the ship. The wildlife walk through area was pretty cool. Butterfly area with the morpho butterflies was neat as well. The only negative is that it isnt really a legitimate area, it is more of a staged town and not realistic of the true area. Went on The Monkey River Eco Tour. Very good excursion and we got to see lots of bird species and iguanas and plant species.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Good events going on in the port. Had a live wrestling event in a pavillion. The one negative was the pushiness of the people selling the souvenirs. They were able to negotiate with, but that was something that you had to do in order to get good prices.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Lots of shopping opportunities. The negative is that there are barkers in front of ALL the stores trying to get you into theirs. Gets overwhelming after walking 50 feet and being asked to go into 10 different stores. Overall good prices for food and gifts and things of that nature. The whole needing to walk through the mall area to get to the city part was weird at first, but made it easier to not need to cross traffic on the road.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We took our own luggage because we needed to get to the airport asap. The whole process was SUPER EASY!
