Review summary

Our family enjoys cruising, it's the best way for all 3 generations to spend quality time together with plenty of age appropriate entertainment to do on our own. This is our second sailing on NCL and while I enjoy the amenities and openness of a bigger ship, I miss the personal service and intimacy of a smaller ship. NCL did a great job designing the ship's restaurants and amenities so you never feel crowded even though you are on a ship with 3900 other passengers. All in all a relaxing trip.

Service and Staff

Service was adequate but impersonal. Wait staff felt inexperienced and low energy. Not what I'm used to on a cruise.

Ship tip

Beverage package does not include bottled water! So bring your own water bottle to refill to avoid paying $5 for a 1 Liter bottle water.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Restrooms were filthy and the construction made traffic worse.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Compared to the USVI, the British VI were much more organized and civil. The open air safari taxi driver gave us a brief tour of the island's history and and stopped to let us take photos. Everyone we met were courteous and friendly. And they did not try to charge us adult fare for the toddlers (Taxis in St. Thomas did...) We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Try the jewel class like the Pearl, Jade, Gem. Our favorite size of ship.
