Review summary

The Getaway is a pretty new ship with an excellent quality.

All the program is very well organised. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Good selection of quality food.

The staterooms are in very good condition as one would expect on a new ship. Lots of little details are (positively) surprising the guest.

The shore programs seem to be overpriced. Also the beverage package or on-board internet is far too expensive - also in comparison to other cruise lines.

A significant cost is the Service Charge (minimum 13.50$), which is only been introduced after booking. It will automatically be charged to your account every day.

One need to be aware of the 4.000 people on board. And in the approached ports there are several ships, also bringing a couple thousands tourists. So everything gets busy and there is only little traditional living any more in the areas where the ships stop by.

I have always pre paid gratuities including this one. My only surprise is that it went up a few bucks from its original price.

On every cruise no matter the company I have gone on has the gratuities. It is all over Norwegians website and I always prepay ahead of time.
