Review summary

This is my 2nd year in a row on this ship and I am already booked for 2016 to be on this ship.  This is my 15th cruise and  i had stayed away from Norwegian because I had heard so many mixed reviews.  Well I have to tell you this was the best cruise ever.  The ship is absolutely beautiful - I love the many choices for food.  However I must say my favorite is Cagney's and the french restaurant are the best.  The food is 5 star all the way, service amazing.  The regular dining room is ok - not the worst and not the best but still eatable. I love everything about this ship except the room stewarts are not very friendly - on all the ships i have been on the cabin stewarts are your best friends.  Not that they aren't helpful, they are but not warm and fuzzy.  I have been on Carnival, RCCL, Disney and Princess - all of which the cabin stewarts were great. It seem like as the cruise is ending the get friendlier.  Other than that I love this ship.

Cabin was nice and roomy - much bigger than I though.

Ship tip

Cagney's is must try - it is worth every additional penny. I must say I am a little disappointed that there is no lobster night.

Well if you cruise on NCL Dawn the best ever room steward Winn, any other steward we have on any ship has HUGE shoes to fill

We did use it, and I think wee were charged, but I am not sure.

Thanks kooshka. This will be our first time in concierge so im pretty excited! I just read that ncl is charging a fee for room service. Did you use it and if so, were you charged?

I've posted some pictures in the photos section.

Oh, also, the rooms are larger and you get a butler when in the Haven, who will bring you snacks in the afternoon, which is quite nice

being in the Haven is that you get priority embarkation and disembarkation, where you don't need to wait in long lines. For the Illusionarium, you get priority seating before the show. In addition, there is a section in the Getaway Theater that is reserved for Haven guests. Lastly, if I'm not mistaken, you get all 4 freestyle choice offers. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

The Haven contains the suites on the ship. It is located on decks 15/16 and there is a private courtyard with a small pool, two hot tubs, and loungers. Along with that, there is a private sun deck, exclusively for Haven guests, where it is pretty quiet and relaxing. There is also a Haven lounge and Restaurant, where they serve the same thing each day, but food is amazing! Some other nice perks of

Thank you! ;)

Well, we were in the Haven, but we saw some really nice room stewards in other parts of the ship. Also, we took a different cruise with NCL in February and had an AMAZING room steward even though we didn't stay in the Haven. I guess it really just depends on who you get. (We talked to crew members and they said they go on about 8 month shifts, so you may get a different one than cncarey.

kooshka what room were you in,who was your steward? we will be on the getaway in February 2016.....super excited!

I think that the room steward friendliness depends on which one you have. For instance, my room steward was amazing. Sorry you had a bad experience with yours though.
