Review summary

We had a good time on our cruise. Norwegian Cruise was a lot of fun. Show were great. Illusinarium is a must! legally Blonde very good. Burn the floor performance was excellant, don't know how they can do it! Food in specialty restaurants were great as well. Always something to do on ship. Crew was great. Jc the activities director was very involved and got others involved in cruise. Intinery at St Thomas and Nassau was good. Could have used some additional time at Nassua. Tortola was under construction and quite boring. Did a land and sea tour not very exciting would have preferred to stay on ship. In Nassua went on dolphin encounter at Atlantis with family and this was excellant. Overall very good cruise despite having strep throat for entire cruise. Wish strep throat would have picked another time to come. Hope this helps anyone considering the getaway, however I think they are switching ships around.

Ship Quality

Ship is high quality and in good shape. A good mix of activities for adults and children

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was small for 4 people and all of our luggage. We also had an inside room across the hall which helped store luggage and gave the 5 of us some separation an night for sleeping and time to calm down from others stress and attitudes

Ship tip

We loved the specialty dinimg. Very good food and different experiences for our kids

Why 1 star?

Next time in Tortola, take the excursion to The Baths at Virgin Gorda. You take a ferry over to that island, very nice ride, resembles huge yacht. The Baths are a magnificent geological wonder! Took my breath away! Swimming in caves with Caribbean blue water coming in and sunlight peaking through....Amazing! Google it. ;)

I did the same tour in Tortola! Also, they are. The Getaway is moving to Western Caribbean and the Escapr will be picking up this itinerary.
