Review summary
First off, from the day we booked with everything was awesome. Our travel organizer, hooked us up with all of the extras. Ultimate drinking package, on board credit, and was very helpful when our travel plans changed. Will book again through !! This cruise was the 3rd cruise I have been on, the second with Norwegian. The first cruise with Norwegian Dawn back in 2009 was good but the food was less than that. I'm happy to say that the Getaway's food was 1000 times better. The buffet was typical buffet food, hit or miss like any cruise buffet. The sit down restaurants and choices of food were where the food separated itself from the 2009 Norwegian Dawn. Everything had great flavor and cooked exactly how you wanted it and delivered by a smiling face. The rooms were nice, balconies were a little bit smaller than I am used to, but the rooms were still very nice. The pools were kind of a let down. There were only 2 pools, one of them was adults only which was nice, but was packed all day. It was nearly impossible to get a spot on a "Sea Day." There was a lot of deck space and chairs for sunbathing, this was the first cruise I had been on where you didn't have to worry about getting up at 6 am just to put a towel out so you had a space to tan. The casino was great all new slot machines, and tables. All in all a great cruise on a beautiful ship.

Ship tip
The illusionarium show is a must go. Cost is ~39 dollars a person but the show and food is definitely worth it. Been to some magic shows in Vegas and this was right there with them.
