Review summary

We booked this seven day (Spa VIP) HAVEN. Experience... Spent twice the money than what we thought was reasonable- all to see how the other half lives.... Guess what they get ripped off too. Was thinking, based on their hype, we would be treated like Kings.... We were treated like gold, we felt special, but the food was far from a FINE DINING experience. And the 24/7 private butler, wasn't pamper special! The private lounge staff was amazing, but told you how much extra effort they would have to go to first, which smacks of money grubbing.

For what we invested, it was a FAIL. Despite feeling ripped off, we still had a wonderful time

Clean, many upgrades, but multi purpose shower needed instructions, as did coffee maker, and while they advertise 24 \7 private butler, you can pay extra, but when breakfast ends at 10 am, and I call at ten thirty to be told they are only serving lunch, I was ticked! Well, guess they really aren't concerned with pampering their high end clientele.

Ship tip

Don't bother dressing up, too hot for fashion or make up. Do not invest in Ultimate Dining Package, the only really worthwhile bet is the French restaurant! And even there you can only count on the lobster, ask for for sauce on the side. DO NOT SPEND MAJOR BUCKS THINKING THEY WILL BE Solicitous.

Thanks for posting your first review here. I enjoyed reading it. May I ask why you didn't go to any of the shows? For me, that is the third reason I take cruises - after food and itineraries.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you had a good time despite the accommodations and food. It sounds to me that the Haven is not worth paying for.

I had watched a video about ships and when it gets to warm they have to fire up another engine for the added A/C needed. The ship does not like to do this because of fuel consumption $$$. Sounds like on your trip they were saving fuel to keep the bonus checks for the officers.
