Great cruise by Norm23

Size was pretty spacious for a cruise cabin. Living room with sofa convertible to single bed, dining table with 4 chairs, a king size bedroom with tons of storage. Big bathroom with separate tub and rain shower. Very quiet room with exception of whenever we are docking, the whole front makes a vibrating sound and wakes us up. But would definitely stay again

Covid got us! by iamaustrian63

Overall comfort was ok. NOWHERE DID IT SAY THAT OUR BALCONY WAS NON-EXISTANT OR COMPLETELY COVERED BY THE BRIDGE! We were in a Haven room, but nowhere did it mention that the cabin was decks away from the Haven area. The bathroom, although large, is ridiculously built with non-privacy glass between shower and toilet and main bathroom areas. Only one person could be showering/using toilet or bathroom at a time, because of the lack of privacy. Also, there was only a curtain covering the entrance to the bathroom. Another privacy issue. Whoever designed the bathroom or the balcony, was useless.

The worst cruise we ever had! by LolaOfZander

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Getaway / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

ZERO in comfort. The weather had added to the discomfort. The size, cleanliness, and amenities in the room were great. My husband and I never expected that paying for an expensive Haven Suite ended in us sleeping in another room (9804). After receiving new keycards (for 9804 and 9706), we went to O'Sheehan for lunch. I ordered the "drink for today". I gave my new 9706 key to the waiter. He came back saying it had no info about me. I gave him my 9804 key. He came back saying it was no good. I gave him my old 9706 key. Same result!. I was not listed as passenger. My husband gave the waiter his 9706 key. I got my expensive drink. Our balcony was partially blocked. The balcony door was somehow faulty. We heard the shrieking noise caused by the waves. We were trapped in our Suite with horrendous noises. We had a window at our bedroom. When we looked out of the window, we don't see the ocean, but seen only the ship's crew on their breaktime and recreation. The crew down below had a party one night and we heard the noises they made. There were banging and squeaking on the deck below us. Sometimes, it felt that someone was banging the floor above them (which was our bedroom floor) causing the bed to shake. It gave me such a headache. On our 1st night (Mar 6), my husband could not sleep so he got up and watched TV in the living room. In the morning, we complained to Concierge. He found us another room (9804) just for sleeping. My room key to this room did not work when I first used it. After Omar had replaced it, my husband's key would not open the door. I called the Butler (10pm after) to get the key for my husband fixed. My husband and I felt cheated by Norwegian by giving us 9706. To think that we're just about Sapphire members was a really a turn-off. We had a wonderful first time at our Haven Suite in the Breakaway. We thought that staying in a Haven Suite again would be great again. We were so wrong! We felt cheated! I rated this 2-stars because the suite had nice amenities and clean all the time. Our Steward was a nice guy.
