Review summary

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival, and many times with Norwegian.  Of the many cruises we've taken, this was by far the best cruise we've taken yet.  The ship was very new and large.  It held over 5,000 guests, but didn't seem like that many.  The ship was very functional and laid out perfectly, so that you never felt like you were going to get run over by people.  We especially liked the lay out of the buffet.  There were so many food stations and they were labeled quite nicely.  There were so many different ones to choose from, therefore, the lines of people were not that long.  They also had a grandiose of foods and this was the best tasting food ever. They had a different variety of foods to be chosen every day.  Also, they had an ice-cream station where they hand dipped it for you and a large variety of flavors to choose from as well as condiments for it.  The workers were extremely kind and caring.  Even the top personnel came out every day to greet us to make sure we were well served by all. Their way of getting us on board and off when we left was easier than others we had done in the past.  Everything went so smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the dining room and the buffet every day. The food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

Had such a wide variety of choices for all ages.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We really didn't like the shows nor the way they handled reservations to see them. They were always booked up because the people could sign up for them before they even took the cruise. I didn't understand why they just didn't let the first come first served

Children's Programs

Didn't use.

Service and Staff

Very accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
By far the best ship we have been on.

Cabin / Stateroom

Of course by the ship being new, the rooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. The deck on our room was a little too small.

Ship tip

Be prepared to walk a long ways from one end of the ship to the other. We had a room on the 13th floor 4 doors from the bridge and another couple was on the 11th floor at the back end of the ship.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
