Review summary

My husband and I have been cruising Norwegian for a long time.  We have had the pleasure of enjoying most of their splendid ships.

The Getaway is a beautiful ship filled with many activities and dining experiences.  This ship is definitely geared to the South Florida Hispanic population.  It even has a special dining area where wonderful Cuban food is served.  We truly enjoyed this. We found the Cagney Restaurant not we had previously experienced.  This was very disappointed as there are additional charges to eat in this restaurant.

The only major disappointment is the pool for adults.  As this ship holds 4,000+ passengers, and our cruise was not even full, trying to find space in the adult pool area is impossible.  Our recommendation is to add another pull on deck 16 or wherever as soon as Norwegian can.  When sunning or touring all day, the pool is something you wish to enjoy.  Too many people were saving lounges and chairs, there was no control over this making it a very difficult task in searing for areas in the sun to enjoy.

Children will love this ship, many activities-especially the Nick entertainment.  We saw this and wishes our younger granddaughter was with us.

All in all, a good choice for the money.  Perhaps a review of how long it took to get to a Port as well as the amount of time that could have been enjoyed in St. Marten a nicer place to visit and shop.  Nassau has little to offer.

Dirty, nasty and very, very expensive. Do not waste your money to shop there.
