Just returned from a 10 day cruise. Love the Gem and her crew. Can’t wait to go again. We didn’t go to St Thomas because of the weather and that was a bit disappointing. Other than that a wonderful time was had by all

Experience was perfect. Will book again. Staff and ports of call were all amazing.

Loved the cruise only major negative was the quality of the food

Concerned the Gem May be becoming too corporate. Definitely a different feel and atmosphere. No more “hey baby”, pool deck sail away party, dock parties in port, pool deck dance parties, etc... Becoming a very sterile environment. Even the infamous farewell show/song was anticlimactic and almost robotic. The shows were fantastic as well as the food. Our room steward was top notch and should be moved up to Butler status since he was way more attentive and personable than the actual butler whom we only saw twice (until the last night when he was making rounds bucking for tips). The concierge was good and always answered our questions and helped us with our ever changing plans. Overall it was an ok cruise. I think NCL needs to make the experience what it was a few years back.

We sailed the Eastern Caribbean, departing on Feb. 24th. This was our first cruise, and it was awesome overall! It was everything we expected. We stayed in a Family Oceanview Cabin, which was surprisingly roomy for a family of 4. (Be careful when you first enter the bathroom. It has a raised lip to contain any water, and I tripped and fell before we all noticed it.) We loved this ship and itinerary so much that we have booked again for next winter, as well.

We sailed to the Eastern Caribbean, departing on Feb 24th. This was our first cruise, and it was awesome! It was everything we expected. We'd sail the Gem again, for sure. We stayed in a family oceanview cabin, which was surprisingly roomy for a family of 4. Junmar, our cabin steward, was attentive and thorough, as well as entertaining. The food on board was delicious. We had the specialty dining package, which was fabulous, but we would have been fine without it as the food in the other venues was wonderful. We preferred the Grand Pacific over the Magenta, because we enjoyed being spoiled more by the service. We liked the freestyle dining concept. It allowed us the flexibility to do what we felt like, on the spur of the moment. I had the thermal spa package, which was totally worth it. I spent many peaceful hours relaxing there. The entertainment was fun. We enjoyed the circus duo and the magician the most. My teenage daughters joined Entourage (the teen club) and had a blast with the activities there. In general, the staff was friendly and helpful. At the guest services/concierge desk, they didn't seem as friendly, but I believe this was deliberate to foster efficiency. The pools and hot tubs were often crowded, and it was hard to find available lounge chairs, though not impossible. We were never bored.

Our family has cruises many times but this was our first with NCL. We had a wonderful experience and found ourselves always having something to do.

Overall it was ok had a lot of fun with the people we were with.

Since we have never cruised before we have nothing to compare to but we had such a great time we have already booked another on the Gem next February.

We could not be any happier with our vacation cruise and have already booked next years trip with Norwegian.

Staff was quite friendly but visably and verbally unhappy. However, if I needed something, they were all over it. Smaller ship, but cozy. Rough water on the way back, but in my opinion, the Captain and crew did a top notch job keeping it as smooth as he could.

I was not sure how I would feel about so many days at sea but it was great! This cruise exceeded my expectations. The next time though I will chose a cruise where you stay in a port more than a few hours. It makes it hard to really see the island when you have to be back on the boat by late afternoon.

Small ship so we were tossed around the waves like we were a life boat. They only had 1 tv show channel and 1 movie channel in the caben. Food was horrible. Pools were way too small. Not enough chairs by the pool or upper deck. They had more but they were strapped down and not allowed to put any more out for some reason. The drink package was outrageously priced as was the internet package.

Great ship, staff, food, entertainment, stopovers in all a great experience. Will do it again...GLADLY

This was a Horrible check in we are waiting 1 1/2 and we are not even near counters even with latitudes they are taking other people. they should not given any time. Then we wait this long...

Great times on the Norwegian Gem!!!! The staff were really friendly and were very professional. Can't wait to go on another one again!

We had a great time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good food at the specialty restaurants and the ultimate beverage package was well worth it.

This was my 4th time on the Gem our of 7 Ncl. Had a great time! Great crew! Room steward Aguilino was excellent. Gilbert our waiter in Magenta was great and bartender Irwin at the pool and Cagney’s. They went above and beyond on our anniversary at Cagney’s. I did feel that the ACD and activity could have done much better to engage with passengers. They lacked the energy I had always encountered. I only saw the CD twice on our 11nt but I heard on the last day that she left during one of our port days and was expected to be back on the day we disembarked. Shows were also very good. She is starting to show her age but still a wonderful ship. Still had a great time!
