Embarkation was pretty smooth. Lots of young staff behind the counter so we breezed through the Trieste port. Pretty area but didn’t have time to explore. The transfer to the port was all we got to see of Trieste. Beautiful views of the sea from the coach.

Wonderful food. I love seafood and there was plenty of it!! 🤗 We did one speciality and only because it was part of the ‘free at sea’ scheme. It was the Teppanyaki. Really nice experience and so much food. I did struggle to finish. I had the seafood with rice. All cooked in front of you. Great fun and entertaining chef!

Stage shows were good especially the Ukraine brothers and there acrobatics. Impressive.
The other shows were entertaining enough - good voices. I would’ve liked a Broadway style show though with acting not just singing.

All in all most of the staff were joyful and helpful. Some seemed tired and new to the job. Guess they’ll get the hang of it over time.
Khetut (manager in Magenta) was funny and helpful.

A bit smaller than expected for a balcony room. We had our teenager in there too and had to climb over his bed to get to the balcony. Can’t imagine if there were 4 sharing! Space would be tight.
Ship tip
Get a cabin on the middle floor. We felt we could manage the stairs to all areas easier to get anywhere. And we use the stairs to lose the weight 😂 after so much food. For this cruise research the places you want to visit and get off first thing to do it. There isn’t as much time in each place because you have to consider the travel to get there.
A little bit more chaotic. One of our bags was nearly left behind - our fault not theirs - the tag had fallen off. But it wasn’t too rushed. I think they gave enough time for us to leave, so you didn’t feel like you were being kicked off at the crack of dawn 😀
