Review summary

Overall, the cruise was good. I wish it didn't take 3 and half days to get to the Caribbeans. the cruise line could make it in two and half days that would be as awesome.

Embarkation

okay, waited longer than i wanted to on line

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good both in the buffet and main dining areas.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Would have liked more fun activities. The hot tubs should display a sign that if people are waiting you should limit it to a half an hour. Too many times the people where in the hot tub over an hour and only dangling their feet into the water.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most of the show were good. I enjoyed the comedian, the dance performances and the juggler.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone one was nice and courteous. I had an issue with communication when trying to reserve a special restaurant but it worked out in the end.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean. The layout was okay but i did not care with the fact that the casino was in the middle of the 6th level were smoking was allowed. You either had to bare with the second had smoke to get to the other side or you would have to go up a level to pass over it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean and comfortable with surprisingly a fair amount of storage space. What i did not enjoy was the strong paint flumes that accumulated in our room when painting was done outside our room when in port. I do appreciate the fairly quick response of house keeping to bring in an air purifier and the complementary bottle of wine and specialty dinner that was given to us for our troubles.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

3 out of 5
Port was okay but to far to walk to anything exciting in boston.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We did a kayaking/hiking/snorkeling excursion. It was okay. I was expecting better. There was no beach in site of the ship. Shopping seems to be it main purpose of this port.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Nice port. Walking distance to a beach and boardwalk area with shops and places to eat and drink. We did an ATV excursion which we enjoyed.

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
We did a inflatable boat/ snorkel tour.

Bridgetown, Barbados

2 out of 5
Very industrial. You can walk to a beach but it wasn't much going on there. No shops or places to eat or drink.

Castries, St. Lucia

4 out of 5

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
nice port. Has many shops with good prices at the port.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
okay. Not much to do around port area.

Disembarkation

We carried out own luggage to avoid lines and leave when we wanted but ended up waiting in line longer that we expected.

Glad you enjoyed. I love the Sea Days myself.

Cruise lines know that the majority of people who leave from northern ports to the Caribbean are there to relax. So more seadays are on these cruises. For cruises without seadays you need to leave from a Florida port. I love relaxing during seadays.

yes 🚬 are a problem and needs to be banned. i understand your feelings on the long trip down the coast, the the cost of fuel, a couple more knots of speed means thousands more in fuel costs.
