Review summary

This was the first cruise since my husband’s surgery 22 months ago resulting in a tracheostomy. We were a little apprehensive about meals. Well our food and beverage manager Vikramraj and his restaurant managers took excellent care of us & we have never enjoyed dining so much and look forward to sailing again with NCL in the future.

Embarkation

Due to sailing postponed one day it was somewhat hectic for my husband with his handicap, however, port people most accommodating.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Grarand Pacific always Grand, but our evening meals were mostly in the specialty restaurants. Our favorites are Le Bistro for Lamb Chops and Beef dish followed by La Cucina’s Italian specialties.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Participated in Trivia mostly, due husband’s handicap. Always fun

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The show band and performers are always outstanding.

Children's Programs

No children, however the children who participated in the Splash Academy put on a charming show which we were happy to attend.

Ship Quality

The Jewel. Lass ships of the NCL fleet are the perfect size and we love the layout. Of course, the common area were clean and well maintained. We have been on Jewel class for 7 cruises, Star for 3 and Breakaway once.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Excellent, we had a spacious shower and easy storage access due to husband’s handicap. Our steward, Ma, was fabulous and promptly took care of any extra needs.

Ship tip

Enjoy the food.
