Review summary

The cruise was a very good experience for me and my daughter. Even the delayed disembarkation was turned into a positive experience by the ship's staff.

Due to delays sat in terminal waiting but once they started it went very smoothly.

Spent a lot of my time relaxing on deck, however my daughter enjoyed the basketball court and pool.

The shows were family oriented and able to be enjoyed by all ages.

Plenty of things for teens but also went on February Break. Large percentage of passengers were under the age of 18.

Service was awesome. All the staff that I encountered went out of their way to assist me and make me feel comfortable and relaxed.

It was the perfect size for me and my daughter and Renato our room steward was absolutely wonderful. He worked around our schedule and was always available if we needed anything.

The Gem is a great ship for relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends.

Self-directed walking tour. Went to the Fort, did some shopping and saw the street covered p by umbrellas.

We did go swimming with the dolphins and my daughter absolutely loved it. Transportation was easy to locate and comfortable.

Spent the day at the beach. Easily found reliable transportation that took us to a nice beach.

Did the Safari excursion. Our guide was very informative and made the excursion fun for a diverse group of people.

Disembarkation

Due to high winds disembarkation was delayed until the following day. I am thankful that the crew put their passengers, staff and ship's safety first. Once dock the process was relatively uneventful and rather quick.
