Review summary

Staff was very pleasant and nice. I've never taken a course where the quest were dressed so sloppy.  They really should in force a dress code for the dining room. Leaving the ship needs much improvement. Luggage no signs of color or numbers were posted.  Transfer was a nightmare. I had to go to JFK person on curb didn't know where the bus was or if one was coming.  I made my flight by 15 min. I would never or recommend Norwegian again.

Room attendant was great. Room small, but I expected that being an inside cabin.

If you've been on a cruse before expect many things different.

We enjoy the "free style" cruising n not hving to dress up. That's why we're on vacation, eat and come n go as you please. Some restaurants require a collared shirt for dinner. You can always dress up if you want. The staff was always neatly dressed n very courteous. If you want more then don't book "free style".

NCL dress codes are casual, except they suggest business dress in the upscale restaurants. This is not Crystal cruise lines.

Guests can wear what they like. It is a comfortable, not stuffy way to travel. Enjoy your next cruise in your way and find a line that requires dress codes. We will enjoy the comfort of not being required to dress up. And good luck catching your flights.

Just curious...... dress code and some confusion over where the transfer bus was and you are completely anti-NCL? Have you ever cruised before?? Dress codes are always a "suggestion" at best....... you booked NCL not Cunard!! Transfers run when everyone is on it and you are the one who booked your flight so close to leaving the ship, right? No responsibility on your part that you barely made it? The transfer is not a personal valet that departs when you sit down..... it's also a third party that is contracted by NCL. I agree that sometimes disembarking is a challenge but that is the responsibility of the port authority not the cruise line.

.. if you're main concern is how the staff didn't have 100% dress code then you should try to pull the stick out of your rump... you're supposed to be on vacation, who cares if a shirt is untucked or whatever. Relax and stop worrying about others ffs
