Review summary

Everything ran smoothly, but wasn't outstanding to recommend. Not enough to do during sea days. I wish there were more activities to do on sea days. Even quiet areas were hard to find because those spaces were being used. Charging for bingo and movies and anything else to do is tacky. Other options were to buy tanzanite?? Holland America cruises have so many FREE activities that there isn't enough time to do them all.

Ship tip

Restos fairly priced. Not enough to do on sea days. The activities that were available consisted of attending seminars for buying items. Movies should be free. Not enough quiet spaces. Spa prices outrageous. Shining part is the staff, best part of the trip.

That's the point I was trying to make. If you want exceptional you go with Royal,Princess or Holland. If you want budget and just looking for a good time Carnival and NCL. I have been on all and have never been disappointed yet. I just know what to expect from each.

There are 5 stars cruise lines and glad we got the chance to cruise with Princess and Holland and Royal.

I was on Holland in February and it was nice. There were DVDS you can borrow without charge and movies on the ship. When I was on the Jewel in 2009, they showed movies for nothing. Everything is a business, but the new CEO changed it all. People who knew Kevin Sheehan liked how he managed the company. It's up to people if they want to cruise with Norwegian or not. There are 5 sta

I don't get how people come on here and try to compare NCL to RCCL and Holland. You pay more on these lines so you are going to get more. To me NCL and Carnival are budget lines so you can't expect 5 star service
