Review summary

We loved our cruise & the Norwegian Gem. Unfortunately the weather did not allow some of the excursions we had planned in Maine. The ship was great in cancelling & refunding the excursion charges. The Cruise Director, Dan Dan was the best! His talented crew and his terrific personality & humor were the highlight of our entertainment. We would recommend this cruise to anyone! Mentally, I am still on the cruise!

Our mini-suite w/balcony was perfect as far as size with a full bathroom & tub & plenty of closet & drawer space. The sofa/living area was larger than on previous cruises and we never felt closed-in. The only problem with our cabin was the noise level on our floor. There was machine shop/maintenance going on which resulted in banging, scraping & drilling noises during the day. Several people complained & bottles of wine & a platter of or'deurves were given out to several cabins.

Ship tip

I would check to see if any carpentry or repairs were taking place near the cabin you choose. We would have picked a different floor or part of the ship to avoid the noise.
