Perfect 10 year anniversary celebration by trochesset10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The only complaint I have is more because of my own ignorance than anything with my cruise. I chose to use my debit card instead of a credit card. Norwegian had several pending transactions that caused issues but it's all worked out. Next time a credit card

Mostly wonderful by jewllee

Had a bad experience with an excursion, and a rude lady working the excursion desk, besides that leaving a bad taste in my mouth, everything was good.

6 night NCL cruise by WobbleyCow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Caribbean - Western

All in all there's not anything horrible that we could say about the NCL Cruise, but we still prefered our Carnival cruise over this one. The free dining options and main dining room on Carnival just had stand out food while NCL seem to be pushing their upcharge restaurants so they're free options were nothing to write home about. Like I said, we were never able to get into an NCL show so I can't talk about the quality of that versus the carnival, but anything had to be better than carnivals entertainment. The adult area on NCL was definitely better than carnivals.

Had a great time sailing... by jltanner56

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Had a great time sailing on the Escape. The weather was beautiful. Had a hot stone massage which was heavenly. Stayed in a Haven Deluxe Spa Suite and was perfect. Jefferson, our butler and Edwin our room steward were so accommodating and such good personalities. I hope we can sail with them again soon.

Fun by Theresab67

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My cabin was really nice with more storage then I have ever had before. Liked that it had allot of outlets and USB plugs. The ship over all was too busy, no seats open by or in the pool. Hard to get in pools or hot tubs because it was always too busy. Even Spice H2O was over crowded.

This is an amazing ship... by GreggIII

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

This is an amazing ship with a great staff. We met new friends and can't wait to catch up with them again on the next cruises. It's absolutely the best honeymoon/vacation I have ever had. This was my first cruise and I can't wait for the next. Tons of things to do and the food is great. Most vacations have as much stress as they do fun but this is pure relaxation!! Every Day is in an Adventure and every night is a date night!

Cruised NCL Escape from 4/7-4/14,... by TDHNJ

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Cruised NCL Escape from 4/7-4/14, starboard, mid-ship balcony room. Room steward was okay, but we had to ask for an additional bath towel each day, which was a bit of a pain. We had the UDP/UBP and took advantage of both. Other tha Le Bistro, the food/service was just okay in La Cucina and Teppanyaki (way to much use of soy sauce) and overcooked seafood. Drank plenty of assorted drinks and never waited more than a minute or 2. Used the gym 3 times, loved Howl at the Moon, embark & disembarked without issues, excellent service in the MDRs and enjoyed a nice variety of meal options. Had breakfast in the Garden Cafe 2x and Taste or Savor the rest. Met some really nice people. Love the wings in O'Sheehan's and the Coney Dog hit the spot late at night. This was our 2nd time on the Escape. We had the revised Western Caribbean itinerary (Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya & Nassau). Reviews to follow under the ports section. All in all, we had a great time (wife & I) and it was tough coming home after such a great week.

On the ship right now.... by mbaier1977

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

On the ship right now. In a balcony cabin aft on deck 15. The noise is unreal. I feel totally deceived as these rooms should be advertised as noisy. Spice H20 is right above us and lounge chairs are moving before 7am and music is playing until 1am. I called last night to voice my concern. No apology and zero follow-up today.

This cruise was not my... by MrsGale16

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

This cruise was not my favourite. Not saying it was bad but I wouldn’t do this ship again. The ship was very beautiful and glamorous. The amount of people on the ship was way to much to have on one ship. The food wasn’t the greatest and the service really wasn’t good at all. The freestyle cruising takes away from the niceness of the cruise and elegance. There was the few staff members that were absolutely fabulous and really friendly. My favourite place to eat on the ship was O’Sheehan’s. The H2O deck was a nice place to catch some rays.

Great Ship, our first cruise... by jswizzle21

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Great Ship, our first cruise with Norwegian. We usually cruise with Carnival so a few things we were not used to. You couldn't fill your bottles up at the buffet drink stations, had to use their glasses. In the main dining room they didn't give juice for free, only to kids. Adults had to buy a beverage or drink ice water. The water park and ropes course was great just sucks that the ropes course wasn't open on sea days because of the wind and the highest part and two of the ziplines were closed whenever the rest did open. The Splash Academy was nice our son enjoyed it. They had alot of activities and a circus show on the last sea day. The shows were decent, we only saw After Midnight and The Comedy Juggler. Food was good at the buffet and main dining rooms. O'sheehans was great as well. Didn't do any specialty dining. All in all it was a nice cruise but we just feel the vibe on Carnival is more fun and to our taste. The Escape is going to New York later this month so we will probably book Carnival next time.....

Amazing trip on the Escape... by jasonrudquist1

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Amazing trip on the Escape last week in March 2018. Group of 9 with 5 children ages 9-17. Very busy ship but has something for everyone. Highlights of the cruise. Plan your week. If you want to be by the pool you need to get up early and get your chairs. They will be full by 730 but if you want to lay in the sun there are many places to go and do that. If you too the servers a buck or two they will make sure you never go thirsty. Edward on the pool deck is awesome. If you want to walk in the mornings don't use the track, it's very small and the runners make it difficult. Instead go to the waterfront on 9. It is very peaceful and they have the best views on the ship. 5 O'clock bar on the waterfront is a great place to go. Tappenyaki amazing. Cagneys is very good. La Cucina was also very good. Also ate at Food Republic which had surprisingly good sushi rolls. Manhattan Room has great atmosphere. O'Shehans was just ok, good filler food for the kids. Margarittaville serves limited free breakfast, fruit, cereal and omelette station without the crowds of the Buffett. The specialty restaurants were very accommodating for our group of 9. Just book right away and be flexible with your times. Orly guitar guy was amazing, Beau Tahana piano guy was also fun. District brewhouse had great beers. Dogfish 90 minute IPA on tap. Bar is adults only which was disappointing as the piano player played most of his sets there and were family friendly imo. Tobacco road has an amazing Old Fashion, must try. Cigar Lounge is full of cigarette smokers. If you smoke cigars, bring your own and go to Spice H20 bar or Upper Waves pool bar to smoke them. After Midnight show was not very good. For tendering go to guest services early in the morning the day before you tender and you will get on any tender you want. All staff was super friendly and help make you feel like you are on vacation. Roll with punches. Grand Stirrup Cay was cancelled. Went to Nassau a day early and spent the night there. Got to get off the ship and spent the evening at Senor Frogs. Close to port and fun. Rented a cabana at Palms Beach Club on 7 mile beach. $125 for a private cabana with shade and 5 lounge chairs. Great beach and safe to leave your things to enjoy the beach. You need to rent the cabana online prior to your cruise as they fill up. Love beach on Nassau is awesome. $20 per person cab ride. Beach is far from the cruise crowds and beach is beautiful. Ask the taxi to stop on the way and pick up snacks and drinks as beach is pretty limited. Nice thing was our driver did not let us pay him until we were picked up and back at the ship. Ask for Edward, great driver and will give you a tour on the way out of town. Jamaica port was fun and had the best shopping for deals. Kids loved the slides on the ship. Lines were very manageable. Prior to our trip we read hundreds of reviews, good and bad. Thanks to everyone who wrote them. Remember. Plan ahead. Tip your wait staff and bartenders once in a while, trust me it makes all the difference. Be patient and remember you are sharing the ship with 4500 others who are also on vacation. And parents. Please be with your kids in the hot tubs, there was a day with 27 kids in one tub. Not kidding. Sorry for being so long. Jason
