Review summary

Average at best, most of the things were average, probably one of the worst cruise I have taken

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Unfortunately when embarkation and disembarkation are the best things you know cruise was not stellar

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Had 2 really good waiters but one waiter was not having it that night. Brought multiple items incorrect, was not happy and we had to complain

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Decent, not great though

Entertainment

3 out of 5
When one of the best shows was not in the main theater you know there are problems. Lounge musicians were average to bad. Only one group was excellent. The main theater shows had one really good comedian and a good juggler. The main show for the week had talented musicians but the music and the plot left lots to be desired.

Children's Programs

Don't have kids that use program

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward did not clean room one day and had to be asked to clean on other occassions

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well maintained but , again, if this is one of only a few 5 star ratings you know cruise was not stellar

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Normal balcony cabin

Ship tip

I was happier with layout of older ships like the Pearl and Jade. Pool area was very cramped and late night lounge was small and closed early. Unless price is extremely attractive would most likely not take this ship again

Ports of call

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Great pool area

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Too busy. Going to Magens Bay has gotten very expensive

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
Great beach but again very expensive. Reached port at 6a8m and not enough time to enjoy. Should never arrive this early at any port

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Was upset we could not go. What made it worst is that they replaced this with one of the worst ports, Nassau. People are rude and beach we went to that was within walking distance was horrible. Kids jumping over beach goers that were sunning, jumping on lounge chairs and hitting volleyball on people. The person renting the lounge chairs was very suspect. Offered $25 for 2 chairs and umbrella. She accepted. Since it wasn't sunny I changed mind on umbrella. Asked for lower price. Her answer was that 2 chairs were $25. Had we gotten the umbrella it would have been $50. The same kids jumping around were selling items. One came up to me and tried to strong arm me into buying. Had the beach not been busy I may have bought due to fear. Next time I suggest another sea day if private island can't be visited. Nassau should not be an option.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Best part of cruise and when this is best part you know what kind of cruise it wad
