For a first time cruise, it was amazing. I would highly recommend.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Our embarkation was delayed, not due to the crew not being organized but from the passengers from the cruise prior. I learned after we had set sail that previous cruise passengers did not want to get off and kept getting in the crew's way.
Unfortunately, even after we started the embarkation, it was a slow process. This time, it was one of the ship's security crew members who made it a slow check-in. He had started talking to a couple who were waiting their turn to check-in and he totally forgot to wave people forward. His supervisor had to come out to get the lines moving again.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was phenomenal. I preferred the complimentary dining over the specialty dining, but that is just my opinion.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Whether it was watching the shows, trivia, or just exploring. There was always something to do. With usually two or more events happening at the same. I went as a solo traveler and my main challenge was actually choosing which activities I wanted to join and which ones I had to skip.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Make sure there is nothing in your mouth when you watch the shows, cuase you will laugh yourself silly. I made that mistake at dinner, and my friends had to help me.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was super friendly and polite. Patrick was the host for the solo travelers. And I don't think I saw that man sit down. He always made sure our needs were met and was also in charge of many activities throughout the ship. Five stars for Patrick.

Ship tip
Make sure you know who provides your excursions. I booked outside of Norwegian and had a little trouble finding where to met up.
Oh by the way when passengers do not come off the ship they do look around for everybody and people don't realize that you have to get off the ship in order for new passengers to get on and they just don't think about the next one. And once this happens it's called a zero count when everybody is off the ship. Everything is supposed to run smoothly and people really have no care in the world for others
Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Actually, when people say complimentary dining room, it's really not because we pay through our cruise fare. Food costs a lot of money to be brought on a ship and you'd be amazed how many eggs, chocolate flour meets fish ice cream and anything else that is used for cooking it's a lot. I've been to the places that you've been to accept for the Dominican Republic Port that you've been to. I was in Samana DR. Dominican Republic
