Review summary

I think you get my meaning with my other comments. Mass of humanity—-To to many people, waiting on everything, have to show up hours before anything starts to just to get standing room only, staff over worked and frustrated—-if this is cruising post COVID I for one will wait along time to ever book a cruise again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

To many people on boat. Staff couldn’t keep up. You can tell the staff was overworked/frustrated and couldn’t do anything to change the dynamic.

Ship tip

I’ve taken 4 cruises pre covid and I really enjoyed them. This one was frustrating and aggravating. I was more stressed on the boat than when I was off of it. Mass of humanity, staff couldn’t keep up with volume…everything and I mean everything was a Hartley—-long lines—-wait times. To many people—-this was not fun and relaxing like I knew on other cruises.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

These islands are really all the same if you don’t do an excursion——shopping! I don’t shop….

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

3 out of 5
Again mass of humanity—-had hassle to get a chair—-food and drink lines—wait…that was knew word besides some choice words I used—-vacation should be relaxing and stress free—-if you have to stress out about getting a chair…drink…food..towels..etc it’s not a vacation.

Disembarkation

Was supposed to get priority—-cruise member even when I told them we had priority off boat put us in’ normal’ line—-getting on boat much better

Honestly even when full other ships do it right. Our experience on the Escape was the same… overcrowded areas, unable to participate in many activities due to overwhelming crowds. We haven’t sailed NCL since. We have been on other ships at full capacity and not had anywhere near the problems.

I was thinking the same thing, every cruise ship will be full to its capacity since COVID, Escape is one of the bigger ships, with over 4000 passengers…..but NCL should have the right amount of staff to take care of these passengers.

Appreciate your details. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Things are not the same as before the shutdown, and may never be.

Did 4 cruises last year, 3 of them NCL. Escape, Prima, and Joy. Fantastic time on all of them, even on high capacity Prima sailing over thanksgiving week. We set our expectations correctly and always enjoy.
