Review summary

If you’re a family, got lots of people you want to entertain. Teenagers that can’t wait to join the adults in the “adult only” parties (which are every single night- same music) then maybe this is it. Kids running everywhere. And 12 year olds at the adult only comedy night. Made it tough for comedians as they were dealing in the jokes to rate the PG because of the kids. I was not impressed with the dining. The buffet was fine. Lots of options. Again, if you expect a “star buck type” special coffee. Make sure you buy a drink package that includes that. There are a lot of drink packages. Not all are created equal. Especially if it was offered in the cruise price. Forme. I won’t go on another. Two was enough. Maybe a smaller Norwegian. Or different cruise. Because my overall impression is it’s was too crowded. Oh! And the fancy spa, with the “limited” number of entries. Don’t buy it. It was packed!!!! And I’m not sure about the Haven. But we saw some at the same Resturants and shows as we were. I recalled the price was a lot more. But. Not sure. Glad I went for the standard balcony.

Embarkation

Fair. Long lines outside of terminal despite scheduled arrival times

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Surprisingly, the food at specialty was not fantastic, and very confusing to figure out what place is no charge. I’m glad we had two passes because I won’t do that again.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Although we did not partake in everything, there was a lot to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
ABSOLUTELY THE BEDT SHOW IVE EVER SEEN! Choir of Men was fantastic! It made the cruise worth the value and time. Comedians also funny. Other shows crowded and looked like people were having fun. BUT! Again, confusing. BECAUSE they are charging for some shows. And we had no idea. One was a charge. Others not. Who knows.

Children's Programs

My wife and I were alone. On purpose.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Likely and expected. Staff was great. But! Our steward master was alone! He had to take care of 10-15 cabins by himself! I’m sure that’s why no real special treatment in cabin no fancy towels turned into animals.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Every public bathroom I went in looked like a busy football stadium. Water& towels all over. Again. Too many people.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Over all ok. The size was as expected. It was advertised as a partial view. That’s because two levels down was the top of the promenade and life boats. It didn’t bother me a bit. Only thing was the TV. Maybe not a big deal. But 3 sports, 3 movie, 3 news. And options were bad. If I wanted to BUy a movie for $10 I could. No thanks. And it was a small tv. I’m guessing 27”. It was small. Definitely a bummer.

Ship tip

Get the drink package because everything is an up charge.

Took catamaran to Jost Van Dyke and the Soggy Bottom bar. Nice.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

It was a beach. Next to other islands where the big ships go right to port/ dock. However we had to tender. There was zip lines and long lines to get a drink. I’m sure everyone from the snowy north enjoyed it. We were bored in 30 minutes.

Disembarkation

Self assist. Still long lines. Customs was packed and slow.
