Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin itself is fantastic, great size and access to the Haven. The location however is very noisy. When docking you can expect 1 1/2 to 2 hours of loud banging and shaking from to forward thrusters. It was a quite windy cruise and the single biggest issue with this cabin is the balcony and the draft that is created when the wind comes across the front of the ship. It creates a huge low pressure that literally sucks the balcony door off which results in extremely loud noises that sounds like children screaming endlessly. On 3 nights of this cruise it really shocked us and especially our kids were left scared.

Ship tip

The Haven is a great place to stay.

Santorini, Greece

There were 2 other ships anchored in the bay at Santorini, thus resulting in around 10.000 cruise guest and staff wanting to get off at this island. The island is by no means suited for these numbers as most guests have to either take the cable car or ride a donkey to get up to the main town. The result is hour long queues in the blazing sun only to get to a town that is completely overwhelmed.
