Review summary

This ship is packed with a lot of interesting features. Just be ready to pay for them once on board. Lots of paid dining and the few that are not have items on the menus that need to be paid for. Some entertainment shows also come with a cost. Video games, bowling alleys and arcade games all cost. Bingo $49 for three cards. Ice Cream, coffee and special treats also a cost. The only thing that didn't have a price tag was the pool loungers. However these were so hard to find because there is "ONE" pool for 4700 passengers!!!  Pool loungers don't make $$$ so they saved the space for other venues that do. Shame on them!!! The only saving grace was the food was "OK" and the staff was very friendly and fun.

I have done 3 cruises on Norwegian, we always plan everything out ahead of time and determine what's free and what's pay. Everything is right there for you to research you just have to do the work yourself.

It's tough if you don't know how to make reservations yourself, but the box office is open most days, so they could help you there.  The minute you start focusing on the negative your days go down the toilet, the great cruise you planed goes down with it .   You have to make it work for you no matter what.  I speak from  good experience on this matter.

We went on Escape last year and found plenty that we didn't have to pay for. we didn't have dining or drink package and we perfectly content with all of the free options. video games, bowling, bingo, special treats cost extra on most cruises. there was plenty of free entertainment options if you planned properly and made reservations

this will be our 4th cruise with NCL we have never paid for extra activities, always gone with the free stuff, they have ice cream machines in the garden cafe that are free, yes there are restaurants, and show that cost but if you look on your NCL account B4 online you can see what shows cost money there are PLENTY that don't cost anything and there is a lot to do on the ship. every day they also have free selected specialty dinning that you can also book in advance B4 you even get on the ship. of course the arcade, bingo and bowling are extra.
