Review summary

Overall the experience was great although I think the service standard was below par especially when dining.  After the first 3 days we figured out the only place to eat half-way decent (included/complimentary) food was in the ship buffet.  None of the included restaurants had food better then a McDonalds or Long John Silvers.  We did ultimately pay for the "Fine Dining" and would recommend them to anyone on this ship.  To top it off the service was so bad in the free restaurants that we wouldn't see a waiter or entire meals would be forgotten from our table.  Other travelers confirmed the same experience.

only the buffet is good unless paying for fine dining... osheehans, taste/savor are frozen isle foods...

didn't do much besides bingo/casino... maybe just happy here because we won a bunch of money (surprise!)

tons of options for kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
horrible in the free restaurants, most crew members don't know where things on their own ship are... our room maid was the best service on the ship.

I sprung for a fancy French restaurant on one of the NCL's ships and it was terrific! It was almost French! Throw a French-sounding sauce on a steak and voila! French! Le Bistro has a handsome man in a fancy uniform going around greeting people and telling amusing stories. I don't think he's the Captain, because if he IS, who the hell is up there on the bridge driving the boat?

McDonald's? Long John Silvers? Everyone has their own perceptions about food and restaurants but we have never had food like that on NCL even in the complimentary restaurants. But yes the service and food is very good in the specialty restaurants.
